The Ingham County Clerk's Office only has death certificates for individuals who died in Ingham County, birth certificates for individuals who were born in Ingham County, and marriage certificates for individuals who applied for marriage in Ingham County. The County Clerk's Office maintains vital records for the County of Ingham dating back to 1867 for births or deaths and 1837 for marriage records.
The public is welcome to visit the County Clerk's Office located in Mason to review County records to research family histories, or you may submit a request in writing. Please include the parties name(s) and approximate date the death or marriage took place.

Records prior to this date are not in our computer system at this time and must be requested by mail or over the phone with a MasterCard or Visa.
